But does it make sense for the OICW to be shooting dark energy? Not just the orbs but the regular fire, too. Why replace the OSIPR when the SMG is a much closer candidate?

The muzzleflashes are declared in the model file, not the code, so at least should've changed them.

Because the rate of fire is to fast and the muzzleflash needs to be adjusted in position. idk exactly.
There are enough smg1 replacements but no irifle one. Now there is a good and working one for retail.
I would like to create a package for retail with some more cuted weapons but i was never able to decompile the library of client and server, maybe due of wrong configuration. Oh and i have no edition of mvsc++ anymore. As i wrote, Jackathan and me arent the creators. Only provided to publish it.

Some goobledygook. Look, just use the leaked full AR2 sources and go into the qc and you see that firing animations (ACT_VM_RECOIL1 through 3) have events for generic muzzleflash
{ event 5001 0 "0" }

but if you go to v_irifle.qc (which is provided in the Source SDK, so we have full sources for it, too) it has
{ event AE_MUZZLEFLASH 0 "COMBINE MUZZLE" }

So why did you build it with those Combine muzzleflashes if it has regular ones? You can even rebuild it to use nice particle muzzleflashes, too, they're available in standard Ep2 and you animevent them with something like

{ event AE_CL_CREATE_PARTICLE_EFFECT 0 "name_of_your_particle follow_attachment name_of_attachment" }

Where the particle could be 'weapon_muzzle_flash_assaultrifle' from Ep2's devtest.pcf. And the attachment, well, you declare it.

Like, you do you and everything, I'm just saying it doesn't make sense for it to be full Combine weapon functionally with this old skin. I guess the orbs would have to remain, though.

As I wrote, I did not create that.
In the end people will still complains about the mod, no matter how I changed it. Believe me or not but a proper version for retail is one of my biggest wishes but nobody will help me with hints or so if a problem occurs. That's what i learned from the whole beta scene. If I can not do it myself, nobody will help me either. No I'm sorry, i'm too stupid for half-life 2 modding. In addition, I noticed the first time with the SDK that it is way too hard for me. Oh and my internet connection is to slow... I need two days to download the SDK. Maybe in 300 years (HL3 confirmed) someone will release a new AGNMI pack for retail but i am to stupid. If it's crap for homepage, moderators can remove it.

It must be a law or something, Never release any beta stuff for retail, Only it is for stupid gmod/synergy :D

I want to announce an upcoming update for this IRifle replacement. It is being developed and sponsored in an hot awaited mod and by its project leader. I have only repaired the sound and recoil for the retail version. It will be a simple replacement like the current available one. (No grenade function yet because i am starting to learn how to modify an existing weapon) And as long the project doesnt puplished her own proper version, I will neither.

Not a 2002 reskin. It is completely new designed (but not by me) and not in beta style anymore.
I am only fixing it to run with vanilla hl2 and Update!
