Has anyone tried Making a Model Compiler for Alpha 0.52?
I don't know if anyone else asked this But I'm wondering has anyone tried Making a Version of studiomdl that outputs V6 Models?

I''ve been thinking of wanting to Compile Models for the Half-Life Alpha 0.52 Build (Specifically some of the Model Source Files in the Half-Life SDK) but as far as I know, It's currently impossible as the Alpha Build dosen't come with a Model Compiler and making Maps in Worldcraft are the only thing possible as of writing.

So I've considered the Idea of Building my own Compiler from Scratch from the Code for Quake's Tools given BananaWaffle's Video where he played the Retail Maps in the Alpha Engine says the Alpha is Closer to Quake (At Least in terms of .bsp handelling)

But when Looking at the Quake Source Code on Github, it's hard to tell what code studiomdl could've been built off from. I think the code for Quakeworld's "Alias" model support could be a possible place to start from but I'm unsure at this Stage.

If Anyone knows information that could possibly Help, I'd Like to know.

06/05/2024 UPDATE:

So a few Hours Ago, I was viewing the "utils/studiomdl" Subfolder that's located in The Source Code Folders of the Half-Life SDK and I founded that the header file for studiomdl has the STUDIO_VERSION Specified on one line, So I now think that by changing the Studio Version from "10" to "06" and then recompiling Studiomdl.exe, It may be Possible to make a Version of studiomdl that works with the Half-Life Alpha without needing the Quake Source Code. (Unless It turns out the Retail Code is incompatible with the Alpha [Then the Quake Code would be needed then]) I'm now thinking that I'll try attempting to Compile an Alpha format Version of studiomdl myself over the Next Few Days.
