whats more to come?

i know this question has been asked a few times in the community but im actually very curious on whats next, if most of the leaked content has already been put in stuff like the megabuild and most teams have gotten quiet, then.. what exactly is there to do next? we can still make custom maps, mods, models, ideas, sure, but most of those either arent finished or get scrapped real quick.

in short: i want more hl2 beta content, i want this community alive so im wondering if theres more to come out of it

Well, other than exploring the cut content of the games we already have, I guess we can wait for the next Valve game.

Surely that won't take too long, right?

I think there's really nothing to come for HL2 Beta other than various small leaks from the repo, such as 2003-2004 stuff.

We can hope for a similar leak to the 2022-23 one, I think it was the one that contained the Elite Metrocop model iirc.

Hopefully a new version of Mega Build that more accurately emulates 2000-2002 feel (WON style menu and console, camera roll in singleplayer, HL1 hud for 2000 era, QRAD lighting for 2000 era maps)

I have also been wanting to know this for HL1, but my best bet for the hl2 beta is that we get maybe a few leaks from mid or early 2004, maybe some older stuff
And likely some more Post-2005 TF2 (retail tf2) leaks
HL1 beta community is basically dead at this point.
