Fate of the half life 2 beta characters

I thought the fate of these characters were common knowledge by this point, but I guess not.

When it comes to "Beta Characters" you need to specify which era. For example: Kleiner around 2002 was either injured or killed after the test chamber given Barney's lines, its not conclusive either way however. Meanwhile, during 2003 its very close to retail and not reaaally worth discussion.

Odell's fate was unknown from what I can recall, a lot of the lines we have were complete placeholder to sort of get a feel for the atmosphere they were going for so I wouldn't take them as gospel to how Odell and his sequence on the Borealis would have played out.

Eli Maxwell is also fairly unknown, we know his background with his lost leg but... I think given the concept art we have, his purpose in the plot in conjunction with Captain Vance were likely very similar to retail - which would explain why the two were merged together... Although that's just speculation given the few voice clips and concept art, after all we do have voiceclips of Alyx during Mossman's betrayal, so the final sequence might have played out fairly similarly - but again, all speculation.

2002 Eli maxwell was to be killed by the particle storm as Gordon escapes Eli's lab to head to Kracken base.

2001-2 Kliner was injured or killed by the failed teleport, most likly killed as some maps have him turn into jibs, (whether thats player made or actual dev code idk)

2001-2 Alyx was (injured/killed/captured) during the skyscraper scene telling Gordon to find Captain Vance, most likely captured as the Mossman Double cross scene

Odell was possibly killed by a hydra/some monster on the hyperborea, or maybe he escaped with gordon on a submarine?

There were to also be Borealis and Construction Workers too! But the BW's were cut because well the fate of Borealis the wise. Then The Construction Worker's were the successor of the Construction and later I think re-appeared in Alyx?
