how to compile hl2 beta in vs 2005 or vs 2013

i need help i need to compile the hl2 beta for something i am working on but i cant do it the normal way because of how dumb vs 6.0 is can you you help me?

What seems to be wrong with vs 6.0? Also if you really wanna compile in newer version, you may have to change up the code a bit due to changes in MSVC
