Alright, So I came across a Post in this Thread back around 2021 on the Deleted Facepunch Forums -
https://web.archive.org/web/20160607143108/https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1253345&page=120 that I had read in the Comment mentioned on this Later Thread, -
https://web.archive.org/web/20190612095724mp_/https://forum.facepunch.com/games/sqrb/VALVE-CUT-CONTENT-V2-1-Digging-through-Valve-s-trash-since-2003/24/ Basically, it was that Cyrodragon/Slartibarty Mentioned that if one opens the Modifiers Tab in 3ds Max and Disables everything but 'Editable Mesh' on Specific Models inside the Half-Life SDK, Some of the Meshs contain Differences that don't appear when opened by default (e.g. Early 1998 Shotgun, the Glasses for Gordon that were seen in some Screenshots plus Opposing Force [As the player.mdl Model for Gordon In Half-Life Normally doesn't have Glasses], Early Barney plus Grenade Viewmodels etc).
Now I'm wondering does one have the .max Files mentioned/shown in those Threads Converted to .smds? I'm asking as Even though the Half-Life SDK does have .smd files that have the same Names as the .max ones, Those .smds seems to only have the Animations but not the Actual Mesh like the .max Files seem to do. (The only .smd files in the SDK that do have Textures seem to be the ones that have either 'reference' or "template_biped" In the filenames) I even tried setting up a Windows XP Virtual Machine to try installing 3Ds Max 2.5 just to view the. Max Files but I wasn't able to drag the 3dsmax iso File or the folder that has the HLSDK Into the Guest Operating System.
In Short, I hope There's a Conversion of the Half-Life SDK .max Files to .smds for those unable to open the Files as are.
