Skybox and Texture Problems

I've been having this problem with the beta version of hammer, whenever i compile my map, the textures on the top surfaces on alot of the brushes become errors, and the skybox remains as the sky_tool texture, Has anyone else had this problem, and does anyone know how to fix it?

i had same problem long ago, as far as i got it beta WC uses retails hl2 files or smth from steam.
i suggest to rename half life 2 folder in yoursteamlocation/steamapp/common if you have hl2 in steam
if you not, i have no idea

Thanks, I'll try this. If it doesnt work, i'll do some more digging on the issue.

1st of All, I advice that Don't Put the HL2 Leak in the Retail half-life 2 Directory (e.g. Have it in another Folder such as the C: Root Folder as C:\anon-hl2 for example).

Second: Renaming the folder for the Retail Half-Life 2 may End up Breaking your Installation if you try doing it.

Third Advice: In regards to the Skybox, My advice is to select the Brushes around the Map (e.g. by Holding down ctrl in Hammer, you can Select the Brushes Needed. If you don't do it, Clicking another Brush will deselect the other one) then use the "MovetoWorld" Button in order to make the Skybox the intended way (This was the Advice I read when I was trying to Make Skyboxes for Goldsrc).

I checked if the installation for retail still worked, and it does. However if it does when i try this method some other time i'll be sure to try the GoldSRC Method. Thanks!
