HDR in hl2 beta?

I remember seeing a video where this guy was testing HDR effects in the leak and it seemed to go great but nothing really came of it. So I was wondering is it possible to put hdr in the leak or can the engine not handle that?

As far as i remember, Axel project has some new graphic features, but i think its just a bloom, not hdr.

HDR is already in LeakNet, as far as I know. Even if it isn't, VXP is the one who made that video - you should ask him

Axel projects bloom is just turning mat_fullbright on if I remember corectally

I know that bloom is a feature in the axel project i don't know if leaknet has it though

You can enable bloom if you add this to hl2.exe into the launch options:
-shader stdshader_hdr_dx9
I may be wrong but I think it will work even in the unpatched beta. Though it won't work properly.

Not big surprise. Valve themselves showed the video of DirectX 9 effects, back at September 2003. Bloom included.
