So, I watched this video:

Can you please check if this thing really works. If so, I will be happy. I just don't want to download 70 gigabytes for nothing. I already “passed” this game on YouTube, I just want to look at the graphics, experiment with enemies, take a couple of screenshots, in general, do those things that people do in Garry's mod.

Lol it doesnt work anymore unless you have the 1.0 version of hla. so current people who own hla cant do it anymore

Lol it doesnt work anymore unless you have the 1.0 version of hla. so current people who own hla cant do it anymore

Dude, this user uploaded this video 4 hours ago. He would not upload it if this method were expired. Plus, in this video he replace the v1.1 files with v1.0 files, so it still can be work.

I mean, it should work, it would be weird if valve made a VR only engine, so -novr would probably be an option for future games that arnt vr exclusive, Valve even said they know people will mod the game to remove VR, But I will say the game was never meant to be played without VR so...

Yeah so I can say with 90% confidence this works but its acceptably broken but thats where modders come in and fix things.

just a warning, so you can use weapons you'll be in a state of Noclip at ALL times and some map loading triggers dont work so you'll have to go into the console the ending doesnt work at all and so doesnt the hacking

not really, if you don't use fake vr mode but only -novr option you can walk, barely jump and use broken hl2 weapons.

is it a good one ? having a great success ?
i guess it should be "good" but not a success..are you able to reuse parts ? in mods.. is there something , some monsters : new ?

there are speedrunner on it .. the world record is below 40 minutes..
here is the "spider man" in the run without spins.. -adds 7 minutes ]"8

after 10 minutes.. of video .. i find it "super boring" 
but i am happy for those who play css and other css:orange ..the new engine will be made for them ..
the vr thingy is just a kind of mouse inside the game .. instead of pressing "arrow keys" to move.. it looks you point and click..so that is not really "immersive" as a game..
just my opinion.. i would have liked more actions and mostly more aliens.. as story is wrote by people never having played hl or mod..here is the fuck of "georgina follow freemen" ;']

did you even watch other gameplay videos? there is an option to turn on actual movement in the game.
