Half-life 2 gold edition?

I heard there's a ultra rare gold edition of half-life 2, called Half-life 2 GOLD

I couldnt find any gameplay based off it. what's the big deal with the gold edition? Beside the merch that came with it.

This is just a collection of Source (and maybe GoldSource) games. Half-Life 2 was based on the Day One (Collector's Edition) version of the engine in Gold Edition, until the idea developed into the Valve Multiplayer Pack and Valve Complete Pack.



I'll just remind you that every edition or release of the game that you cannot buy these days does not mean changes in gameplay or cut content.
