first of all you need to dowload virtual box, you can search tutorials how to set up then dowload win xp nano lite this is extremely light weight 32 bit its only 80mb then when set up you should dowload virtual box guest addition and close windows then go to shared folders drop the alpha then go back extract the files in a folder now go to display settings then change color depth to 16 bit then press engine.exe in half life alpha and wow it works but if your mouses is weird i recommend enabling mouse intergration in settings

1) The tutorial i sent allows to run 0.52 natively on Windows 10, without the usage of virtual machine.

2) Sadly i cannot send you that build, it was acquired from private slovakian source and if I share it, Czechoslovakian mafia will come to my house, and i'm not willing to risk my life for a 26 year old game.

it works! i thought 16-bit color was discontinued on Windows, and thought it would never be able to run natively on win11, but it does.
