I decided to play Alpha 0.52 again, and I was surprised that opengl.exe ran without problems on Windows 10.

I played for a while until I discovered that there's a glow on the grenade that's only visible when you open the console. I don't know if it's unique to enginegl.exe or if it also happens in engine.exe, since it has more functions that work, but I found it curious, so I took a few screenshots.
If something is poorly worded or written, it's Google Translate's fault.  !rolleyes
I know that you have a Alpha CD, but you dont want to leak it.

I have confirmed that it is both on the software renderer and on the opengl renderer (engine.exe and enginegl.exe)

That’s not surprising. Half-Life 0.52 used a graphics translator (a wrapper) that converted OpenGL commands into Glide. This was necessary because the popular 3D accelerator at the time, Voodoo, did not support OpenGL commands - only Glide. If you don’t run the game through nGlide (or another compatible translator), artifacts will appear. For example, if you run the game directly or delete the translator’s DLL file (such as opengl32.dll, which performs the translation), visual glitches will occur: weapons, bullets, or grenades may "clip into walls", or textures may be applied incorrectly.

That is right, but the glow does appear to be on the software renderer which has more stuff that works
It does seem weird to only appear using the console.

It's just a small TE_DLIGHT that appears on shrapnel models. It's still present in the retail code.
It just continues to spawn when you pause the game
If panthers are part of the cat family, are panthereyes part of it aswell?
