Worldcraft++

Hello everybody, FILipKOS here. (Or simply just Filip..)
I'm here to present my tool that is still in beta-testing, but still avaliable to everyone, named.. Worldcraft++!

Worldcraft++ is an unofficial replacement to Worldcraft/Hammer Editor for users who create maps for HL2 Leak. As people know, Hammer Editor for HL2 Leak is quite unstable and can suffer from unexpected or annoying bugs and crashes, Worldcraft++ is here to prevent this from happening.

Worldcraft++ is inspired by other community tool named Hammer++, which is a popular replacement for retail Hammer Editor created by ficool2.

What does Worldcraft++ bring?
Worldcraft++ brings lots of improvements, quality of life fixes and new features from Retail Hammer Editor.
Those improvements are:
  • Removed hardcoded render distance cap
  • Removed hardcoded FPS cap, allowing users to have more framerate in Worldcraft++
  • Increased Ray Length
  • Added memory leak detections
  • Upgraded 2D Orientation Arrows from 2007 Hammer
  • Faster loading of VMF files if they were closed, kept now in memory
  • Fixed Lazy Evaluation in Texture Browser
  • Brought back Model Browser
  • Improved Grid Navigation (Inspired by J.A.C.K)
  • Fixed the Vertex Snap bug
  • Fixed 2D view bugging out
  • Added red text in I/O
  • Added Sound Browser back
  • Fixed memory leak in GDI Handle
  • Fixed CString memory corruption crash
  • Added On-Cursor 2D Dimension in CToolBlock, which will now print Width, Height and depth to users mouse cursor while mapping
  • Added safety lock on Carve Tool
..and many more!

How do I get it?
You can get Worldcraft++ by clicking here.

While unpacking zip file, it is important to check the "readme" file, as it contains instructions on how to get the tool running!

Feel free to express your opinions here in the comments, experienced an issue in Worldcraft++? Report it here.

This might sound weird, but is adding the option to compile with QRAD lighting doable? If possible, it would make the 2000 era maps look more accurate to how they looked in the Siggraph 2000 footage (since there seems to be a lack of radiosity bouncing in the lightmaps)
