Gasmask Citizen information

The textures were leaked in the original 2003 beta. Also the model is lost, Valve lost it during when they transferred to a different file system.

Some Playtester somewhere has to have an old cd or dvd sitting around somewhere which has an early hl2 build with the Gasmask Citizen.

I doubt the gasmask citizen model exists anymore to be honest. With the increase of leaks last year and the beginning of this year, you'd think it would've turned up.

to be completely honest there isn't a valid reason for having the original model anyways, maybe some early beytah knowledge but thats it. the recreations are already accurate(?) if not better than the actual model.

Maybe the mesh is somewhat accurate in the recreations, but we'll never know what animations it had, what possible bodygroups, attachments, bone parameters it had, and other technical info. Looking at several of the repo models, we now know their age, so that could've been discovered (or not). So, to be completely honest, yes, there are several valid reasons to want it.

I doubt it - if anything over the years we received so much new content, which should have been in the leak, but was not (working Combine Guard, more animations for a SynthCrab, Cremator with a hose, e.t.c.), that at this point I pretty sure, pretty much all of the old content exists somewhere.

We just need to hope that someone, somehow will leak it. Akin to what had happened with HL1 Alpha, which popped out absolutely out of nowhere.
