help me how do i make spawns and props in the hl2beta version of hammer?

so i wanted to make a map and i cant seem to get props, spawns or any of that stuff working could anyone help? like i straight up cant find them when i change an entity like in usual hammer, and yes ive followed to tutorial on how to set up hammer
