Creation Date of the Combine Soldier "Test" Voice Clips

Hey guys, I just wanted to know where the "Test\Near" and "Test\Far" clips date from. I've heard some speculation about them being created on 2002, but I've also heard they were created as far back as 2000. Any answers?

They were likely created when revamps to the soldier AI were being made, which is around Late 2000 to 2001.

yeh, there was a large switch at that time, after 2001 they basically had the base ai nailed down, except for a few specifics like the wasteland scanner. So I would imagine 2001.

These sounds are mentioned in sentences.txt so I guess they could really be from 2001

One of the sounds, (fire1.wav), has metadata saying it is from 20th November 2000

Doesn't really count, a lot of weapons sounds were recorded at this date. They could just copy an older weapon fire sound into soldier's sounds folder.
