Are you asking how to fix that or just telling about it? Need more info, like what OS are you using at least.
Did you tried to enable compatibility settings or run it as an administator? There is general threads about original hl2 beta build and Mega build as well. No need to create new threads for such problems, use search on forum and ask in already existing threads if you haven't found a solution to your problem.
