I sound like an idiot probably, i'm really new to mapping and especially mapping for the leak, but when i apply a texture to a surface it appears in the editor and when i compile it, it turns into a missing texture.
Any idea on what might cause this?

Errm, to be honest I can't even imagine what could cause such thing. Try to reconfigure your hammer maybe.

Hey, I'm trying to get Worldcraft working, and I know this has been said before, but the null.wad file seems to be broken again. I would really appreciate it, as I'm hoping to try and get some old maps up and running again.

Right click the link and in the dialogue window choose "save an object as" or "save the link as", depends on the browser you use.

I was using leaknet patch, i switched to TAP, and it crashes no more, but now i cannot configure it. i cant find any .WAD or .PAK files, what to do?

EDIT: Nevermind, found out how to do it, thanks anyway

Whenever I press "Run" it just says that Windows couldn't find d1_trainstation_02.bps in the anon-hl2/ folder. It tries to run the map which cannot be copied to the maps folder. Help

The map you want to compile should be in "anon-hl2/maps folder", not in the root "anon-hl2" folder. Just copy the map into "maps" and re-open it in the hammer from this folder.

ok so the axel project patch makes it work fine, but whenever I try to compile a map everything works except vrad.exe which stops after "hazard01.bsp can't be found" or something. anybody know why?

EDIT: Seems like it's trying to get to a source mod's retail hammer. I'll check the other post.
EDIT 2: Fixed it! Changed VPROJECT to HL2 leak's folder and had to move the vmf files to the hl2/maps folder (that's where it was checking)

Ye, I was using a compile script except instead of the hl2 root folder it was trying to get to the maps lmao

hello, I have a problem with the hammer editor, the problem is that when I give it f9 and I convert the map, in the folder where it is saved only a .vmf file appears, and the .bsp does not appear

when compiling it tells me error opening in the .bsp file
