I've been making a mod for hl2 beta, and it crashes the game when player gets damaged by metropolice or a combine soldier. How do I fix this?

Choose another player model in multiplayer options.
Preferably gordon.mdl

I have found that using the metro police player model crashes your game instantly in multiplayer, but the others work just fine.

It happens while you are in a map but if you are in a menu, you have no problem reloading the game

so every time i open half life 2 beta it keeps saying unable to init shader system

Just change it in the settings like in regular HL2. Do keep in mind that fullscreen is bugged and if you alt-tab out of the game and then come back to it, it may get stuck on a gray "Loading" screen. There is a temporary fix for that which requires setting the game in Borderless window mode by adding the "-window -noborder" commands to the launch options.

When i click on the HL2B.exe its instantly crashes no errors and the files that i extracted are all there. I need to fix this crash issue if yall help me how to fix the crash problem i would be kinda happy.

It happens sometimes, try to launch the game again.
Also make sure you launch it with LeakNet's Mod Launcher.

This might sound out of pocket but i tried to play the mega build on my old Windows XP Acer laptop, i played one of the builds, but whenever i click it its the loading screen and then it keeps blinking. This might be a resolution issue but i tried finding a fullscreen thing in the cfg/autoexecute files. but i cant find it. I also went to the properties and it says its windowed. however no launch options. I also did it as a shortcut tho. Every game i play like CS 1.6 on my Windows XP is normal but the megabuild doesnt. I also did alt + enter doesnt work either. How do i fix it? its also has Intel

Make sure you launch the game with LeakNet's Mod Launcher.

You can put any launch options there.
I usually launch any HL2 beta mod/mappack with -windowed -noborder options

Hmm, maybe try launching it in Windows XP compatibility mode?

Whenever I try to play Half life 2 beta, The new game button doesent let me start a new game. It shows the options of dificulty but when I choose and press play it doesent do anything.
