smod is a half-life 2 mod which has tones of new amazing content sush gore, bullet time,new npcs,weapons addons system,custom crosshair,great customization and tweaking options, Enhanced visual effects,New functionality... and much much more, it's based on the source sdk 2006 files so, we have the original 2006 source code and its sln file for compiling it and we have the original bin files(server.dll and client.dll) and we have the modded bin files (server.dll and client.dll) of smod and what we dont have is the source code of smod can't someone help us with reverse engineering the source code of it or something, it would mean the world to me if i be able to mod it, and thank you!
PS: the original creator has been missing since...a very long time.

This is only speculation but it is believed that he died in one of the many disasters that happened in Japan several years back, either that or his PC was destroyed. It is highly likely we will ever get the source code so our best bet is the community picking up the reigns and taking their own stab at recreating SMOD.

Check out SMOD 2013: Brutal Half-Life 2, it's one of the only few active mods attempting to recreate and better the original SMOD and from what I've seen behind the scenes the creator is passionate about the project and is actively coding for it. Unlike all past attempts that have started and died I don't get that same feeling with this one and think it will be the most feature complete SMOD experience we've ever had and then some.
