Heya.

I've been using the leak hammer to make maps and I've noticed that the path-finding for NPCs isn't quite that great. For example, if I make a ramp and have citizens following, they have quite a bit of trouble over anything that isn't flat and/or a straight line to move to. Ramps seemingly are both a problem for soldiers and citizens, citizens can't follow if you go off the edge and soldiers are hesitant if not unwilling to leave any place that connects to lower ground with a ramp.

I'm making the thread because I'm curious to see with all of the patches that have been done that maybe someone out there has a fix for it or not. There is a youtube video that shows what appears to be leak citizens and soldiers navigating a ramp without trouble.

Perhaps I'm not making the nodegraph on my maps correctly? Or perhaps that video was ran in a different engine.

(5:22 for the part that shows a citizen running up the ramp)

Thanks for any replies.
Haha, like that?!

    • Oh look I'm a special person who has a YouTube account
It's dependant on how you've set up the nodes for your ramp.

For that map, I placed nodes at the exact top and bottom of the ramp so NPCs are unlikely to get confused when walking up it: Image

Awesome, I'll copy this for my maps. Appreciate the help.

edit: It is a huge difference.  It solved the problem it seems.
