Could someone make a recreation of the van seen in Episode 1 pre-release images?

The model of the van it's self aside from the dashboard seems to be relatively the same as the van in Episode 1, just with the texture of the normal van from Half-Life 2. You could ask me "why don't you just apply the HL2 texture to the HL2 Ep1 model?" Well, it doesn't work like that unfortunately. The UV mapping isn't the same on the two models or textures and causes visual errors.

From my knowledge, there seems to be only two screenshots of this early van model, as well as brief footage from Episode 1's trailer.

I know you're probably asking, "Why the hell do you want a recreation of a completely meaningless van? Who cares?"
To that I say... I don't know, I care because it's interesting at least to me. ¯\_ _/¯

I doubt anyone is going to be as*ed to make a new version of it tbh so you'd have better luck looking into the EP1/2 leaked files for the original itself.

Do we have access to early models and textures from Episode 1 and Episode 2? I thought it was only prototype maps.

I kinda led you on with the way I said that, sorry, I meant to say there's a bigger chance to see those files imo than for someone to take this remake on.
Very few people outside of Valve have access to those files + the beta ones that aren't in the leak and they're not very keen on sharing for a lot of reasons (but I think you already know that since you're here)

It's all good. I understand too.
Valve is extremely iffy about people seeing beta content or using content from leaks.
Honestly even content from the 2003 leak, which occurred almost two decades ago.
Plus this model it's self is pretty mundane all things considered.

Regardless, I hope in the future that somebody finds the time to remake this van model.
Or potentially the model it's self being leaked, but I don't see a chance of that happening in the slightest.
