help i cannot have software mode in alpha

installed nglide and set compactibilitly to win xp and even deleted opengl and nothing worked it says couldnt find graphic cards

You can't, expect if you don't make a virtual machine. For running software mode you need 16-bit mode in Windows 10 and higher this is not change-able. Don't even try to run it on potato PC's it will not work! For software mode you need to certain driver settings!

What drivers? The software rendering mode does not assume the presence of a video card as such. The fact that alpha can be launched in the software version of the renderer is supported by the fact that the WON version of the original Hal-f-life can be launched in this renderer.

there was no error but for some seconds it started doing something but sadly it crashed

It worked for me, maybe you need to reinstall the game files?
(Also I'm wondering if there's a way to not have the game run in a window)
