They aren't.

But they kinda are, aside from obvious cuts of the map for optimal performance. But since we don't have the maps, it's irrelevant, as long as it looks like it.

Is it any different from the game that came out?
Before you say it, no, the alternative citizen outfits were not in E3 2004, they were in a 2004 teaser.

I can't see any substantial difference. You are already playing "e3 2004" Half-Life 2.

Well, the biggest difference is that "Canals" demo (starts at 7:07 on the video) was few sections from different maps sewn together.

The other differences are small ones, yeah, like AR2 using its primary ammo box for an alt fire, or rollermines still using older models.

ToothpasteVixen managed to run those demo files that normally couldn't be launched. She modified leaked source code to do so and recorded a video:

It's also possible to launch other demo files that weren't show on e3 2003. Here's a video of e3_phys_01.dem she recorded:

What's really interesting on this second video is that it appears that originally physcannon had an ammo!

I wonder if it's possible to launch even older demos, like e3_seacliff_1b.dem that must have been recorded on an older e3_seafloor predecessor.

I was actually try fixing those Demos myself after Seeing that guy who fixed those 4 HL Alpha Demos (In the Half-Life 1 Section of the Forums) but I didn't get around as i couldn't figure out why the .dem Files wouldn't work if I tried running the "playdemo" Command but given what Vixen says in the Description, I can only assume that the Encoding is different as well just like what was going on with the HL Alpha 0.52 ones (I'm also not an Expert in coding so I don't Know what this Person had to do in order to get them to play).

Aside from that, I wonder if there's anyway to fix certain Asspects like The G-Man clipping through the floor in e3_techdemo_01 or the Invisible Pistol and Physcannon in e3_techdemo_02 or the Combine Soldiers quoting Odell's Lines for example?

I also noticed in the e3_phys_01.dem, The Player walks through a wall implying the e3_phystown.bsp is the Wrong Version (Just like how the Player appears to fall through the floor in c1a3a in the Alpha's demohet3.dem) but I wonder if the older version that the Demo was recorded on could possibly be in the WC Mappack? (I'm gonna have a look myself by using the .dem files' Build Date headers (2342-2390) to try seeing if there are .vmfs that have Hammer dates that line up with the .dem file header's that may be Possible or close Matches).

e3_phys_01.dem has a string "Build 2378"
We have 2 e3_phystown vmfs around that build number:
e3_phystown2.vmf from Apr 27 2003 and e3_phystown3.vmf from Apr 28 2003. Both have build number 2374
