Initially Rayce_raves wrote about troubles of launching the game. I guess problem solved, so Rayce_raves wanted to delete the post, but didn't figure out how to do this and just edited it, or something like that.

how do you install the latest build? the "Half-Life 2 Beta — Mega Build 2024" says to install a patch and has a link to google drive but I also saw a thread about "Mega Patch 5.0" and its different from what's linked so what patch do I install?

i just installed the hl2beta megabuild 2024 then the mega patch 5.0

You only need to install Mega Build 2024 and the google drive patch. Mega Patch 5 is not needed as it's already a part of the Mega Build.

i have a issue with monitors/cameras i installed the megabuild and the megapatch 5.0. i am not able to see monitors they are just plain black like the 2003 breencasts any help?

Disable anti-aliasing. For some reason it breaks all real time cameras.

It seems like the "Maps List.txt" files haven't been updated in a while, they're useful because I wanna go through the maps in order (storyline first, then test, etc.) but for example in hl2_2001 there's a lab_01 map listed yet the bsp isn't present.

hmm nevermind, it seems like lab_01 has some problem which caused it to not be included looking at Maps List.pdf

Also, wanted to say, not all of the map packs have this nice list for example hl2_2002, I hope they'll be made for the next release :P

i dont know what i did wrong, i did all the steps but every time i open up mod launcher and try to play half life 2 beta, it would just close the tab. maybe i need to download the original half life 2 beta files?
