So many dead mods, now i get where the stigma of creating a beta mod only to later be cancelled comes from.

people would probably be more successful if they all just swallowed their pride and worked on one mod instead of trying to be That One Guy With the Successful Leak Mod and all just starting identical mods for no reason

i suggest getting a better name since "beta mod" as a name is pretty generic and not very good, kinda like the name of half-life: wall.

Conscript is (shockingly) still being updated and isn't dead. Biodude has been posting updates on his YouTube recently.

HL2: Aftermath is dead/completed, I am pretty sure.

Thanks, I updated the status of Aftermath and Conscript.
It was quite surprising to see new WIP videos of Conscript! I would never guess Biodude will ressurect it.

Also does anyone know what's up with Beta Royale? I didn't hear about it for quite some time, it could be dead I guess.

Beta Royale released in December 2020 and got several updates up until about mid 2021. It hasn't been updated since (because we started work on a giant update that still isn't out yet) but we occasionally host Beta Royale Nights to get people to play the game every now and then.


Also here's a list of other Beta Games we've worked on/released since Beta Royale:

Beta Defense (September 13th, 2019) (Development halted so we could finish Beta Royale, hasn't been worked on since)

COMBINE.EXE (January 17th, 2021) (Finished, Started development in December 2020 after Beta Royale released so it was worked on for about a month)

AMONGOLO (June 9th, 2021) (Finished, made over the course of like 2 months)

Betakuza (2021-Now, still in active development)
