WorldCraft not working

whenever i open a allready made map with wc it crashes AND the view cameras wont work like there being no 3d cam and there are no textures only the null.wad, can someone help me?

Ok, first off have you installed Leaknet and read this guide?.

Second off, what map are you trying to open exactly? Is it a map from the WC-Mappack or something else? Only maps made with this version of Hammer/Worldcraft will open and only when they are stored in the maps folder [for some reason].

Here are the problems. I can clearly see you're very new to this community so let me explain both things.

WC-Mappack: It is a mappack that contains map source files for hammer [.vmf] that came included with the original leaked beta. It contains a multitude of maps ranging from the Late 2000 to around mid 2003. It contains aprox. 1/3 of all the maps developed for the game [Or so I heard]. They range from story related maps to engine tests. Most of them have been fixed at this point and are fully playable [or at least as much playable as they can be].

Installing Leaknet: It's quite easy when you get the hang of it. Just download the newest build from leaknet.org and extract the files to the anon-hl2 directory.

Or here is something better: The Mega Build. Comes with Leaknet pre-installed and a couple of mappacks [For exaple: The 2001 Mappack]. Requires a program like Daemon Tools to run the installer.

Also, follow the guide again. Maybe you missed something [Like I did back in the day]
