i've finished making a map, which is the opening to hl2 (circa. 1999) and the arctic segment is pretty huge, VVIS takes hours because theres so much water, but i cant remove it because its important to the map and its layout, help please?

Compiling usually takes a while with hammer proportionate to how large the map is from my experience, so that'll be a factor that plays into it.
Took a look at the map, honestly there is a whoooole lot of water, trust me when I say it'd be easier for you to shrink the map down a bit or just replace most of the water with some arctic snowy landscape.
