So, this is my attempt to make authentic recreation of 2002 shotgun animations. I started working on this one in 2016, but found spare time to finish it only now.

I hope it will be a good addition to the collection, especially since there are not so many recreations for the old shotgun.

And yeah, I could post the sources for this model, if anyone wants to mess around with it.

Got a video or something to show it off?

Didn't bother with posting one when created the thread.

P.S.: Yes, there is a stuttering in the video, because Fraps kicks my rear end when recording.
Time to move to a better software...

Were the model and animations made from scratch by you or are they based on the version in Mega Patch 4 made by happyfaceman91?

Nah, I didn't like the one he made, so I decided to finish mine.

I decompiled the default leak shotgun, used it as a base, cut the alpha hands from OICW viewmodel.
The rig for hands turned out to be very ugly tbh.
The pump, firing and reloading animations were made by me. I also made a set of firing animations that work the same way as in HL1 (shooting and pumping in the same .smd), but sadly I had to scrap it, because on leak engine the game forcefully plays pump sound, so these animations had their issues, but it works on retail better with these anims, since you can supress the sound by any other silent sound played by the viewmodel event placed on a pump sequence that uses idle pose with 3-4 frames.

If you want I can DM you sourcefiles on Discord, so you can take a look by yourself.

what is it if the arms of a de-/compiled ported gun flipping crazy around the camera?
Is it the collision or something other? What can i do to solve that? I am using StudioCompiler by Cannonfodder. I cant see directly the weapon, but i can see the projectlies of the gun. It seems the weapon is somewhere on left side. I have tried the library folder (bin) of a version of 2004, 2007, 2009, 2013, bms and orangebox, but only two out of six worked where the compiler completes its work without error.

And what i was wondering about after several beta recreations of the shotgun,
everyone is using wrong angle of weapon to the camera, maybe in combo with fov

A little off-topic for this thread, but well.

To fix your problem add "rotate -90" at the end of every $sequence in your .qc file. A very dirty and old trick, but it works.

Also, to decompile the models use Crowbar. It's more accurate than any other decompilers out there and it's still getting updated.

It didnt worked for the reload animation. The weapon has now the right position with Crowbar but she disappears in the anim self. Thank you anyway for the hint. Maybe someday i will figure out how it works with that portation from newer version to older one.
And keep up your work on hl projects :-)
