The Thing mod (2004)

This mod is a real rarity, one of the first mods to be released for "beta"version of Half-Life 2. It's autor, Donald, released it on HL-Inside forums back in September 2004, even before Half-Life 2 was released. It is not HL story line related at all. There are 4 maps in this mod, where you will have to fight different enemies and in the end you will meet the Thing.

Oh you spoilerist! I didn't actually passed that mod to the end because of crashes, unfortunately, and also I didn't tried it on LeakNet... Maybe, it would be better

What kind of update do you expect for a mod created in 2004?

Though recently there was few remakes of this mod released:
The Thing Remaster
The Thing Redux
and
The Thing addon for RTB:R

Re-download the mod. I've repacked it, so now all you have to do is unpacking the contents of the archive into your Mega Build folder.
Just launch the Mod Launcher after it and you'll see The Thing in the list of mods.
