Half-Life 2 Beta General Technical Problems

Whenever I try to open the half life 2 leak executable file, an error pops up saying "Failed to load Launcher DLL the specified module could not be found" Can anybody help me?

Check consistency of your HL2 beta files - folders "bin", "hl2" and "platform" should be in place

I'm having the same issue that Omega93 had, and I'm kind of new to this I don't know what it means to check the consistency. Could someone help me out?

I think (I'm not sure) he means make sure your "bin" "hl2" and "platform" folders are in the anon-hl2 folder? Not sure though.

Hello guys! I'm having some problems... Here's a list:

• The command Port doesn't work.I enter port 27051, then port and it says port 27051 (def.27015) but when I start a server and do the command status it says that I'm using 27015! (even with the command in autoexec.cfg it didnt work (so I was forced to use the shitty Hamachi...)
• Fullscreen problems When I run the game with fullscreen,I need to open task manager and about some 5 seconds the game starts (is stays with a loading gray screen) if I click the Windows button the game glitches forever with the loading screen (if I shoot i can hear sounds)
• Mouse Raw Input Windows 10 problem, already talked about

Things that I installed:

• LeakNet5163
• Mega Patch 3
• Blurry Texture Fix
• Airex maps

Fullscreen problems When I run the game with fullscreen,I need to open task manager and about some 5 seconds the game starts (is stays with a loading gray screen) if I click the Windows button the game glitches forever with the loading screen (if I shoot i can hear sounds)

The first launch after each PC start or reboot takes some time, up to 1 minute.
And yeah, alt-tab'ing makes th leak to freeze, unless you use windowed mode. Another thing with the full-screen mode - you can't record videos on it.

Why do you installed "Blurry texture fix" aside with LeakNet? 0_o That's unnecessary at least, at the most - there could be unusual and unexpected bugs.
Install LeakNet only, there's no need to put "Blurry texture fix" if you already have LeakNet installed.

Also I will look into "port" convar issue as soon as I can

I suggest binding various keys on your keyboard to +attack and +attack2, for example I bound tab to +attack and alt to +attack2 as they were the most comfortable for me

EDIT: Also add your keybinds to config.cfg, otherwise you'll have to change them every time when you start the game.

hello guys i'm having problems with the executable, my antivirus avast chest is recognizing the hl2.exe as a virus and is eliminating the hl2 exe it happens everytime when I play the game!! its annoying help.
also when I fire the weapons gordon starts to shoot like crazy with no control.

ok I'll wait for the next update my friend, however, about the documents. I just downloaded all the files from here, first I installed megapatch 3 then I installed all the leaknet list patches unlitl the end. After that I played it a few times then boom! my antivirus deleted the hl2.exe :C should I re install?.
